Privacy policy
Sunframe is built for private event albums on the web and in the app. We collect only the information needed to run an event, secure access, store photos, and provide the service.
Information we store
Host account details, event details, a guest display name, account or guest identifiers, and photos and videos selected or captured for an event. Our infrastructure providers also retain limited security and reliability data for a limited period, such as an IP address, device or browser type, request metadata, and error data. Guests do not need to create an account.
Camera, photos, and notifications
The app requests camera access to scan a QR code and capture photos for the album, and photo-library access only when you choose to upload or save photos. An album reminder is optional and is scheduled locally on the device; the app does not obtain a push token or send Sunframe a notification token or device identifier for that reminder. Sunframe does not collect precise location or use data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Cookies, measurement, and consent
Sunframe uses essential storage to operate the service and remember preferences. On the website only, and only after explicit consent, Mixpanel and Google Analytics are enabled to measure page views, scroll depth, and key actions. We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or event names to these services. Consent can be withdrawn and measurement cookies removed through the link in the site footer.
Service providers
We use infrastructure providers for authentication, database services, photo storage and delivery, and operational email. Authentication and API systems may retain an IP address, device or browser type, request details, and error data for a limited period for security, abuse prevention, and reliability. Album reminders run locally through the operating system. Providers process information only to operate Sunframe and under the applicable contractual and technical safeguards.
Who can see the photos
The album is available only to the host and guests who received the event code or invitation. Original photos are delivered through temporary, secure links.
Deletion and retention
The host and the guest who captured a photo can delete it according to the event permissions. An anonymous guest can choose Leave event to erase access and every photo they captured in the current event, or Delete all my data to erase access and every photo they captured across all events. Both actions require two confirmations. Hosts can request account deletion directly on the secure website page; access is locked immediately and events, albums, photos, and account details are removed through an automatic process. Minimal transaction records may be retained without a link to the account or event when legally required. The album is available to view and download for 90 days after the event and is then removed through our deletion process.
